Pre-workshop preparation

Important

Please review carefully the instructions on this page! They will insure you’re all set for the workshop synchronous sessions. We will not have much time during the workshops to debug individual cases.

Before November 21st

• Create an account on GitHub, if you still don’t have one
• Make sure you have a Compute Canada account and can login to Fir
• Fill out this pre-workshop survey by November 21st: https://tally.so/r/A776Ro

Before November 24th

• Set up your personal access token on Fir
• Make sure you have git correctly configured on your computer (git documentation here)

Before November 25th

• Read carefully our Code of Conduct and evaluate if you know how to act if you witness or experience a Code of Conduct violation.
• Check who is in your group and get their GitHub handles
• Identify a real topic to work on together
• Create a repository with a name that reflects the theme of your group’s codebase
